The open call for the STARRISE journey has been extended until the 31st of October/24! Join us in this path!
Good news!
The STARRISE project has just extended its open call for any SMEs and organisations in the agri-food and logistics sector interested in joining the STARRISE Journey. As an institution you can now apply for the STARRISE journey until the 31st of October/2024.
Remind me again: What is the STARRISE Journey?
The journey is targeted at organisations with ideas or projects that contribute to the agri-food and/or logistics field, aiming, through regional ecosystem building and innovation-based capacitation sessions, to support institutions in addressing current sectors’ needs ! š
The sessions will take place between November 2024-September 2025, and will include a mix of online and face-to-face training events, personalized support for developing innovation projects, expert mentorship, and networking opportunities with stakeholders from various regions. The most promising ideas will further receive additional support to seek complementary collaborations and increase their chances of securing investments!
So, what are the next steps?
If you are interested in applying, you can do so through the submission form. In the application form, you will find that you can apply for the call following one of the two available routes:
- Submitting an innovative idea. You will be asked to describe the concept behind, but don’t worry if you haven’t put a lot of thought into it yet! You will have the opportunity to work on it later at the following STARRISE Journey stages.
- Joining a pre-existing project already available in STARRISE. You can find these projects in the STARRISE Catalogue. So far, the projects identified relate to the following themes:
- Infrastructure Development, focusing in the creation, expansion, or enhancement of industrial parks, urban infrastructure, or similar facilities, e.g., CO2 Neutral & Zero Waste AGRO SIMBIO FOREST Industrial-Logistics Park Project in Rezekne
- Logistics and Storage, aiming to enhance the storage capacities or logistics systems of organizations, focusing on expanding existing facilities or optimizing supply chains to improve efficiency and capacity, e.g., Sustainable food supply chain for catering service in Preiļu county (Latvia).
- Food and Agriculture, including projects related to agriculture, food production, and distribution. These initiatives aim to strengthen local food systems, improve food security, or introduce innovative agricultural practices, e.g., Innovative research on the content of biologically active substances of cranberry varieties grown in (Latvia).
- Sustainability, dedicated to promoting sustainability, environmental conservation, and responsible use of resources. These projects focus on reducing environmental impact and promoting long-term ecological balance, e.g., Holistic Synergies of Oregano and Poultry Products.
- Manufacturing and Industry, focusing on industrial production, manufacturing processes, and the creation of physical goods. These projects involve the development of new production facilities, optimization of existing ones, or introduction of advanced manufacturing technologies, e.g., Seasonal Infertility Mitigation in Swine through Climate Regulation and Genetic Analysis /Seasonal Infertility in Swine.
You can further apply to the call in English or any language spoken by the STARRISE partners: French, Greek, Latvian, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish.
I’m still a bit confused…where can I get more information?
If you still find yourself reluctant to submit or join an idea, you can check the call page for more information, or you can join us for a STARRISE Journey Informative Session, taking place online, at the 22nd of October, 2024, 18:00 CET time, by INOVA+ team.
Join us in bridging the gap between regional S3 strategies and interregional innovation investment in agri-food and logistics value chains through capacity building across continental Europe and the outermost regions!
