🌱 What is it about?

EIT Food is inviting food system stakeholders to apply for its Fast Track to Market programme – a unique opportunity designed to speed up the commercialisation of impactful agri-food innovations.

Whether you are an SME, start-up, research institute or industry player, this call is open to you, as long as you have a proposition of a technology, product, service or solution aligned with one or more EIT Food’s Missions:

  1. Protein Diversification 🌱
  2. Circular Food Systems ♻️
  3. Digital Traceability 📱
  4. Sustainable Agriculture 🚜
  5. Sustainable aquaculture 🌊
  6. Targeted Nutrition 🍏

🔍 Eligibility Conditions:

Be aware that certain conditions are required to be followed, in order for your organisation to become eligible for funding:

📌  Submission Documents

Until the 6th of May, 12:00 CET, you can submit an application via the Salesforce Application Portal. Within the application form, you will have to submit:

A Company Business Plan and Presentation, outlining the proposal’s vision and objectives.

Financial Reports, verifying your company’s financial health and statements.

Project Plan, outlining activities and strategies to reach the next sales milestones.

Budget Plan, expecting costs for the proposed project, in compliance with Horizon EU regulations.

💰  Funding Availability and Conditions

You can apply for a maximum of €300k in funding, as the only beneficiary, for a time period of 12 months.

However, EIT Food Track Call follows a Revenue-Based Financing (RBF) funding mechanism. This means that your organisation, if selected, will have to repay some of the funding’s portion based on the company’s revenue. Here’s how it works:

  1. Repayments are based on a percentage of revenue over the last 6 months, with payments made monthly.
  2. The RBF agreement lasts between 1-5 years, with payments continuing until the company reaches a maximum repayment threshold (total funding + 7,5% premium per year

This procedure allows organisations with the opportunity to repay based on own performance, ensuring financial flexibility and company’s growth, while supporting communities’ reinvestment.
