STARRISE Journey
What is the STARRISE Journey?
The STARRISE Journey consists of a mix of training (online and face-to-face), events with experts, personalised support for the development of innovation projects, mentorship and networking opportunities. All these activities are aimed at supporting the development of innovation projects in the Agri-food and Logistics sectors, especially in less developed EU and/or outermost regions.
To embark in this journey, SMEs and other organisations working in the Agri-food or Logistics sectors must apply to the STARRISE call. In the application, candidates are requested to present one innovative idea or join an existing project from the STARRISE catalogue (see more info below).

After the STARRISE call, the selected SMEs and other organisations will embark in the STARRISE Journey, starting with a set of capacity building activities from October 2024. The “Training/capacity building” component will be held online, in English, covering topics related to the generation and development of innovation projects.
A few months later, the “Innovation Investment Support” component will provide tailored training at national level (in the STARRISE participating regions) as well as individual support to develop and mature the innovation investment projects presented in the STARRISE call.
During the whole STARRISE journey, networking and collaboration activities and events will be promoted to strengthen the selected projects and increase their possibilities of success.
