I3 programme comprehends an initiative designed to support investments in interregional innovation, aiming to make ideas market ready. I3 can be the opportunity you’ve been waiting all along, as it offers:

🌱 Double Options, Endless Opportunities

The programme provides two different opportunities for organisations wanting to boost their competitiveness and resilience in the market.

  • Strand 1.

    Supports the commercialisation and upscaling of interregional innovation projects in shared specialisation areas.
    Smart Specialisation Strategies, Maturity, Competitiveness and Resilience

  • Strand 2a.

    Focuses on creating new value chains and improving integration into existing European value chains for less developed regions.

🌍 Who Can Apply?

The calls are open to consortia of innovation actors from the quadruple helix ecosystem (SMEs, research institutions, public administrations, universities, clusters, etc.) in EU Member States, EEA countries and countries associated with the I3 Instrument.

For Strand 1, you will need, at least, 5 entities (at least 2 from LDR) from 5 different regions of, at least, three different eligible countries

For Strand 2a, make sure you have, at least, 3 entities (at least 1 from MDR with strong involvement in LRD) from 3 different regions of, at least, 2 eligible countries.

💰 Funding Support

Applications under strand 1 and strand 2a can be co-financed up to 70% of eligible costs and 100% for third parties.

Be aware of the main eligible topics of intervention that can be funded. I3 programme is for you if your work, interest and ideas lay on the digital transition, green transition or/and smart manufacturing.
